Michael Eccker – President
Michael has been training with Penn State Martial Arts Group since he started in Tang Soo Do in December 2013, and currently holds Fourth Gup Brown Belt in the World Tang Soo Do Association. He has also trained over the summer under Ms. Zamora-Soon at Morning Star Tang Soo Do near his home in Northern Virginia. In addition to traditional Tang Soo Do curriculum, he regularly practices meditation and T’ai Chi.
Michael is pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics, with a focus in Actuarial Science, from Penn State. He enjoys practicing Spanish and Chinese, both in classes and with friends.
Utkarsh Choudhary – Vice President
Susan Nahvi – Treasurer
Susan began her martial arts training at the age of 4, when she started practicing Isshin Kempo Karate at the Wind School of Karate Do in Chatham, New Jersey. Remaining with this dojo through high school, she attained a second degree black belt (Nidan rank). Coming to Penn State in 2013, she started training in Tang Soo Do with the Penn State Martial Arts Group, where she is currently striving for a black belt in the World Tang Soo Do Association. During the summers, she continues to train at her home dojo in New Jersey.
Susan is currently an international politics and French double major. She spent the spring semester of her sophomore year studying abroad in Montpellier, France, and hopes to continue using French in the future.
Adam Bolotsky – Secretary
Adam joined the Penn State Martial Arts Group in Fall 2013. He currently holds the rank of Sam Dan (third degree Black Belt) within the World Tang Soo Do Association. He started training in the art of Tang Soo Do in 2003 at East Coast Karate Institute in Glenn Mills, PA, under Master Michael DiPietro.
Adam is pursuing a degree in Engineering Science and is a member of the Schreyer Honors College. He enjoys all areas of science and following the advances therein. He also enjoys movies and listening to music.
